Dear Friends! I love my friends don't you? It's always nice to have a shoulder to rely on, someone you can trust and be open about absolutely everything in your life! You might have 2 or 3 close ones or a vast circle; having friends are what I would call the gift of friendship. Of course, your family and partner are important in your life, but friends are somewhat different they're like the added spices.
Growing older makes us wiser and more open about whom we choose as friends. We tend to have fewer expectations than during childhood were we seemed to be very exclusive, wanted to feel special, hanging around the ones with the biggest x-factor, hoping to get some sparkle of their shine Once you know yourself better, it doesn't matter so much anymore then. I've a very dear friend who lives 400 miles away; we feel like kindred spirits, but our lives are very differents. I'm not sure we would have clicked if we've met earlier in life, she's an investment banker, I am a photographer! We share a curiosity for visiting new places, going to exhibitions, and spending an afternoon at the Spa catching up about life.
I wish we could see each other more often; we've both got busy lives; she's dedicated to her job, I'm always out and about travelling or booked on photo shoots. Even if we don't speak for months, I often think about her, and I am sure she does as well. One day we hope to devote more time to each other.
How often do you see your friends? Do you make enough time for them, if not plan some time ahead, organise monthly meetups have an afternoon tea at Fortnum & Masons, book a weekend away. Treasure them, don't forget to have fun together.
PS. Celebrate your friendship, with a two for one portrait photoshoot session. Read more about the offer here.
